We registered 83 pilots, and with gas prices, and the heat...is more than anywhere I have seen all season long. Our distinguished guests put on some World-Class demonstrations, and we had pilots from so many states it is hard to count them all. The Civil Air Patrol that was running our parking counted 2400 spectators Saturday and Sunday up until 1PM. We had news coverage from every T.V. station and the Tulsa World and OKC's Daily Oklahoman. Not only was Saturday a great "Heatwave" day for flying, but Grant Wilson was given a Lifetime Achievement Award for the continual investment that he has made, and continues to make in Glue Dobbers members. Sunday held even more surprises with Guy Baldwin and john Espezito's Extra 300L and T-6 shows they did for us. Once again, thanks to everyone that helped make this a success! We will be looking for help next year as the event starts to take shape for an even better Heatwave 07! Contest Director Tim Davie
