James Ochoa, manager of
HobbyTown
USA
located next to the old Target Store at 71st and Memorial, has offered a
discount to all Tulsa Glue Dobbers members.
The ten percent discount is first obtained by showing your TGD
membership card to a HobbyTown clerk who will stick a barcode sticker on
the back of your TGD card. This
registers you in their system, and the barcode can be scanned with each
visit to obtain the discount.
HobbyTown has also agreed to
distribute TGD membership applications. They
sell mostly trainer and novice type model airplane supplies, and therefore
are a good contact point for finding new members just getting into the
hobby.

I
ran across these guys at my trade show last week. The
Ball & Ring Hitch Lock definitely will be more difficult to bypass
than a padlock however, could be cut off. There
are stories of thieves have getting away with 5th wheel trailers by simply
putting a spare tire in their pickup bed and dropping the goose neck onto
the wheel and away they go. Similarly,
one could drop the dolly wheel on a trailer and at least get it away from
where it is. The Heavy Duty
Wheel Lock should present more of a challenge.

The
thief would have to take off the wheel and put on another and that would
be time consuming. You could
weld a plate onto the outside arm so that it covered the entire wheel -
thus making it more like the "boot" that parking meter
attendants use. The website
for the equipment shown in the picture is http://www.equipmentlock.com.
