Nominations Open for Officers and Awards

Cadets Fly with

The Tulsa Glue Dobbers

At the October club meeting held on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00 pm at the new Tulsa Air and Space Museum , we will open nominations for the 2006 club officers and the 2005 special club awards.  TGD officers currently include a president, vice-president, secretary, and a treasurer.  We will vote on elevating the appointed position of Newsletter Editor to elected officer status.  We will also take suggestions and volunteers for the appointed positions of Safety Officers.

Annual club awards are given in the categories of Leroy Rogers Fellowship Award, Rookie of the Year, and Craftsmanship.  Nomination will be heard at both the October and November meetings.  Those wishing to be considered for the Craftsmanship Award can further their cause by showing photos or the actual model at these meetings.  Balloting will occur at the November club meeting.  Remember, we have no meeting in December.

The Tulsa Glue Dobbers hosted 6 cadets from the Starbase Composite Squadron OK-151 for some stick time Saturday, September 24th 2005.  Jerald Summers, Jack Rogers, Claude Christ, Chris Raymer and Billy Caywood provided flight instruction as buddy box co-pilots.  The Cadets included c/1Lt Weston Horn, c/CMSgt Agatha Lipats, c/TSgt Matt Scatamacchia, C/SAmn Willie Bailey, C/Amn Evan Humphreys and C/Amn Adam Blom.  All were thrilled and can’t wait for a chance to do it again.  A special thanks goes out to Jerald Summers from for co-coordinating this great day.  See the Squadron's website at http://www.home.earthlink.net/ ~swrok151/id25.html.
