The Tulsa Glue Dobbers, Inc. was established in 1947, and is believed to be the oldest, continuously chartered flying club in the country. Our club is dedicated to the safe enjoyment of model flying in the Tulsa area. The Tulsa Glue Dobbers has been affiliated with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) founded in 1936, a national organization representing the interests of over 2,500 similar clubs around the country. The roots of the club began in the days of control line, free flight, and very early radio control which has evolved over the years into the highly technical models we enjoy today.
The Virtual Museum is by all means a work in progress with source material coming from many people who have kindly shared their pictures and experiences. Creating and organizing the content is a daunting task requiring many hours of work getting the pictures organized by year and ready to be presented to visitors on our web site.
Jack Rogers and Mike Pennell are the museum curators taking the first bold steps in getting the content published on the web site. Certainly we welcome any feedback as you view the pictures. Often times we don’t know the names of people in the pictures and will need that information so please use the instructions at left to provide feedback.
Enjoy the Virtual Museum!
